Samhain: Summer’s End Night is the gateway to Winter. The gates of the world stand open and the past and future is available to the present. The threshold is literally between two worlds but is, in itself, in neither and in both at the same time. The gateways have guardians and demons and hags are the symbols of them. Samhain is a time of change, transformation, and letting go of all unwanted baggage, attitudes etc. as the trees let go of leaves. (16)
